Moon.Be Consulting: intervista con Monia Bertacchini
Monia Bertacchini // Extensive experience in the cosmetic field, regulatory, quality management, specialized in natural and organic formulations, etc.
Could you introduce yourself to our network? Tell us about your professional journey.
I hold a degree in Industrial Chemistry, am licensed as a Chemist, and have been working in the cosmetic field for over 15 years, particularly in the formulation, control, and production of primarily natural-based cosmetics.
I have worked in cosmetic companies that allowed me to gain experience and grow in various areas of cosmetics: formulation, quality management, regulatory aspects, certification management, and everything related to the development and production of new products or cosmetic lines.
I am dedicated to continuous education, which I consider essential to offer a service that is always up-to-date, original, and competent. I am also a Holistic Operator specialized in natural active ingredients and have obtained a certified Master of Advanced Training in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs for the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, and Supplements sectors.
Now, as a freelancer, I am involved in the design, study, and formulation of new products and/or product lines, particularly natural and bio-certified, drawing on my skills in phytocosmetics. I provide consultancy in quality and regulatory areas, conduct corporate training courses or workshops, and perform auditing activities.
Could you tell us why you decided to dedicate yourself to consultancy and what you like about your work?
For many years, my corporate role has been a continuous and constant integration of various competencies in the cosmetic field. My training and dedication to personal professional growth led me to desire to build something for myself and make my work an independent profession. In January 2024, I started my activity as a consultant in the cosmetic field, intending to make the various skills acquired available to cosmetic companies in need.
I firmly believe in dissemination, which is why part of my activity is dedicated to writing informative articles: regulatory updates, monographs on medicinal plants, cosmetic curiosities. What I like most is the creative process of a cosmetic product or an entire line, trying to best meet the customer's needs and expectations.
Who are your services aimed at?
At companies producing and marketing B2C and B2B cosmetics, particularly in the natural and/or certified sector, and cosmetic brands that want to develop an idea but are not structured to do so or need a different point of view.
How did the name Moon.Be come about?
Moon.Be is both a strongly identifying name as it recalls my first and last name, so it is mine in the true sense of the word; but it is also the expression of an ambition: "Be Moon" as an aspiration to be a reference point for navigators of the cosmetic world, professionals, and non-professionals.
What kind of support can you provide to companies?
I am involved in the design of new cosmetic products or B2C and B2B product lines with particular experience and expertise in natural, organic, and certified cosmetics, in compliance with ISO 16128. I follow the entire development process from the initial ideas to the commercialization of the final product, also taking care, if necessary, of all the regulatory aspects: CPNP notification, tests and analyses, technical documentation.
Another important activity is regulatory consultancy in the cosmetic field, for compliance and/or accreditation with ISO 22716 GMP and the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
I also happily conduct corporate training through dissemination, training, and updating courses and carry out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party auditing activities.
What are your strengths?
Having comprehensive skills and training to offer a service that can span various essential areas in the cosmetic field with an overall vision that is often lacking, and above all, a tremendous passionate dedication to my work.
Why did you decide to join the Cosmetitrovo network?
Because I consider Cosmetitrovo an important "made in Italy" tool that brings together various professionals, becoming an important research resource, and I obviously wanted to be a part of it.
